The Troyster is making an appearance Saturday from Swindon.
Will either H&C to Liverpool street for beers then on the central line
Alternatively, take a 10 min stroll from Padd down to Lancaster gate and pick up the central line direct.

I quite like the look of the Tower Hill way, can stop off in that big Wethers, then on to PML.

If pushed for time and to avoid crowds could try tube to St Pancras then javelin 7 mins to Stratford. Look up javelin times on tfl.

I'd go Bakerloo to Baker St and then Jubilee to Stratford. More likely to get a seat than changing further down

I assume your going to the ground.
I've done several routes and have always found the much quicker route to be
Paddington > Tower Hill (tube)
Tower Gateway > Pudding Mill Lane (DLR)
Slightly longer, but you miss the carnage at Stratford.
Also a lot quicker returning this way,

Central line takes marginally longer and it's the tube which IMO is slightly less enjoyable than greater anglia trains.

Circle/H&S to Liverpool St, national rail Liverpool St to Stratford. Allow 45 minutes but usually takes just under half an hour.
Irritating cunting thing is though the circle line doesn't actually go in a circle any more and you have to change after one stop at Edgware Rd.
